Fabrication Engineer

Job Summary:
We are looking for a Fabrication Engineer to oversee and manage fabrication activities, ensuring high-quality production, process efficiency, and compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate should have 2-5 years of experience in fabrication, welding processes, and production supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

Fabrication & Production Supervision:
1.Plan and execute fabrication activities as per project requirements.
2.Monitor welding, cutting, bending, and assembly processes.
3.Ensure timely completion of fabrication tasks while maintaining quality standards.

Welding & Material Handling:
Supervise welding processes (MIG, TIG, SMAW, SAW) and ensure compliance with WPS (Welding Procedure Specification).
1.Verify raw materials, welding consumables, and fabrication methods.
2.Ensure proper material cutting, shaping, and assembly as per design specifications.

Quality Assurance & Compliance:
1.Conduct in-process and final inspections to ensure compliance with ASME, AWS, and ISO 9001 standards.
2.Implement corrective actions (CAPA) and process improvements to reduce defects.
3.Coordinate with the QC department for inspections and testing.

Documentation & Reporting:
1.1Maintain fabrication reports, material usage logs, and production records.
2.Ensure proper documentation of work orders, drawings, and welding reports.
3.Assist in the preparation of Inspection Test Plans (ITP) and Quality Assurance Plans (QAP).

Team Coordination & Safety Compliance:
1.Supervise fabrication staff and ensure safe working conditions.
2.Train workers on best practices for welding and fabrication.
3.Enforce safety regulations and proper handling of fabrication tools/equipment.
 

Skills & Qualifications:
Experience: 2-5 years in fabrication, welding, and production supervision.

Technical Skills:
1.Strong knowledge of fabrication processes, welding, and sheet metal work.
2.Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings and GD&T.
3.Familiarity with welding standards (ASME, AWS) and NDT techniques.
4.Hands-on experience with fabrication tools and measuring instruments.

Additional Skills:
1.Strong problem-solving and leadership skills.
2.Ability to coordinate with design, QC, and production teams.
3.Knowledge of shop floor safety and process optimization."
